Louis Vuitton is the richest luxury brand in the world—and it's not close—so under normal circumstances, we can rely on LV to do things in a big way. Its shows are always events, held in global landmarks like the Louvre or at the brand's own Frank Gehry-designed Louis Vuitton Foundation building. For Pre-Fall 2018, though, Vuitton has taken a more scaled-back approach, opting only to release 15 lookbook images to the public.
Of the 15 images, only seven contain bags, and several of them are versions of the popular, trunk-inspired Petite Malle clutch or the hat box-inspired Petite Boite Chapeau in new versions. There's relatively little monogram canvas, but you notice it most on a version of the Speedy that fuses it with contrasting black leather; the combination of monogram canvas and colored leathers has been a big hit for Vuitton in recent seasons.
It's hard to get a comprehensive look at what the collection will feel like, bag-wise, from these images, but you can check them out below. As soon as we see more photos from the Pre-Fall 2018, we'll update you.
